The Chinese zodiac is a repeating twelve-year cycle represented by Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. In BaZi, the familiar animal is the Earthly Branch of the Year Pillar—not the complete birth chart.

No. Popular zodiac years follow Chinese New Year, which changes date. BaZi Year Pillars are often calculated around the solar term Li Chun. Check exact dates near January and early February.
Why do some websites give me a different animal?
The source may use January 1, Lunar New Year, or Li Chun as the year boundary. Time zone and local date can also matter near a change.
Do I have more than one animal in BaZi?
Each of the four Earthly Branches has an animal label, so a BaZi chart displays four. The Year Branch is the familiar public zodiac sign.
Is one zodiac sign luckier than another?
No sign is universally lucky or unlucky. Meaning depends on relationships, timing, and context; fear-based rankings are not responsible guidance.
